There is a lot of money to be saved by taking the time to learn some tips and tricks for getting the best Las Vegas car rental for your money. Follow these simple car rental savings tricks and you will have more money to spend on your Las Vegas vacation.

Check with your credit card company to find out if it has free or discounted rates for the Loss/Damage Waiver coverage when you use that credit card for rental payment.

Make sure you have a valid driver’s licence for driving around Las Vegas.

If preferable, ask for a car rental that has a trunk rather than a hatchback. The last thing you need is thieves being able to see all your personal belongings.

Call your existing car insurance company to find out what coverage you have under that policy when renting a car in Vegas. This way you will be able to decline some insurance coverage that Las Vegas car rental companies offer you and save on your hiring cost.

Always check a rental car when you first get into it. Point out any existing damage to the car before you pull out of the car space.

Make sure you are familiar with how that car operates. Locate things like the gas tank, wipers, lights, horn, direction signals, gear shift and make sure they are easy to operate and not faulty. Also make sure the car manual is in the car.

Make sure you have a good map and detailed directions.

Make sure you ask the car rental company the following 7 questions:

1. Are there any discounts available?

2. Do they charge an airport shuttle fee for customers who arrive by shuttle?

3. Do they give unlimited mileage and what are the conditions?

4. What are the booking requirements for the lowest rates?

5. Is there a surcharge for additional drivers?

6. Is there a limit to how far you can travel in the car?

7. Are there any drop off charges?

Las Vegas car rental charges can fluctuate as often as Las Vegas hotel room rates. They are usually their lowest two weeks before Christmas and at their highest throughout January.

If your visit coincides with a convention you may not be able to get a rental car at all.

If you are planning a Las Vegas vacation during a quieter time of year you may benefit by using trying out these various Las Vegas car rental techniques:

Book your car weeks in advance. From 2 weeks before your arrival phone a selection of Las Vegas car rental companies to see if they can offer you a better deal. If they can, cancel your original reservation and book at the new lower rate.

Don’t book a car rental until you get to Las Vegas. You may find that you don’t need a car very much at any rate because you will be spending most of your time on the Strip. You may end up only wanting a car for one or two days. If so, have a look at Las Vegas magazines, newspapers and coupon books for the best Las Vegas car rental discounts. Phone around for availability when you have found the best deals.

Check the in-flight magazines for Las Vegas car rental coupons. You can usually get information about coupons by calling toll-free numbers of airlines. Reserve a car rental for the first 24 hours only. Make sure you can pick up the car at the Las Vegas airport and that you can drop it off at one of the locations on the Strip without paying any additional charges.

While in Las Vegas, look at all the coupon offers for Las Vegas car rental and reserve a car for the last 24 hours in Las Vegas. Make sure you can pick up the car on the Strip and return it to the airport without penalty.

Times are tough and money’s tight—but that’s even more reason to schedule a vacation getaway from the stress and struggles of daily living. While many of us will be relegated to just a “day-cation” or maybe a “stay-cation,” there is a still travel destination where you can still get a really big bang for your buck.

Las Vegas.

Once upon a time Las Vegas was known as “Sin City”–famous for its casinos and show girls. But today’s Vegas has much more to offer: shows, shopping and plenty of family-friendly activities as well. And you don’t need to be a high-roller to enjoy what Las Vegas has to offer; a Las Vegas vacation can be done on the cheap!

So put away the inflatable pool and pack your bags–here’s a list of tips for saving money in Las Vegas:

1. Look for Las Vegas Travel Deals

Las Vegas is a popular place for tourists so travel sites such as Orbitz, Travelocity and Expedia often feature Las Vegas package deals. I’ve seen Las Vegas hotel deals for as little as $70 per night for luxury accommodations. You can find information about these packages–and make them even more affordable with Las Vegas coupons–at sites that specialize in deals like Savings.com.

2. Plan in advance

Check out the Las Vegas Official Tourism Web Site for ideas on where to stay and what to see in Las Vegas. Booking in advance can get you the best rates and making reservations for off-season or mid-week dates rather than for weekends or during holidays can save you a bundle of cash. Also, make sure to research what shows will be in town when scheduling your vacation to help you avoid being stuck with tickets to Wayne Newton when you’re jonesing to see Bon Jovi.

3. Don’t Gamble

…or at least set a limit and stick to it. I know gambling has a powerful appeal to many people, although I’ve never understood the thrill of it. Personally if I’m dropping a wad of cash, I want there to be something leather in my closet to show for it. There are plenty of things to do in Las Vegas other than gamble–no need to spend all your time in a Las Vegas casino!

4. Free Admission

While it will cost you a chunk of change to see Cirque de Soleil or the Blue Man Group perform, there’s a veritable wealth of amazing things to see in Las Vegas for free. The spectacular Bellagio Fountains, the talking statues at Caesars Palace and the Shark Tank at the Mirage cost nothing and make for some great entertainment. Maybe not quite as enchanting as Cirque de Soleil, but definitely more amusing than a Carrot Top stand-up show.

For other cost-free forms of Las Vegas entertainment, you can have fun people-watching and window shopping–or check out this more comprehensive list of free Las Vegas attractions on About.com

5. Deals on Meals

If you fill up at one of Las Vegas’ many all-you-can-eat buffets, you can cut down on your food costs. One meal big meal vs. three moderate ones can save you some real money. You can also buy deeply discounted gift certificates in advance for Las Vegas restaurants at restaurant.com.

And, while there is no such thing as a free lunch, there are free drinks at the Las Vegas casinos–if you’re gambling. So you can sit yourself down at a nickel slot machine and if you tip the waitress well, she’ll keep the drinks coming. The logic behind this largess, however, is that an inebriated customer will gamble longer and lose more money. So know your limits–for your body as well as your budget!

A Las Vegas vacation has something for everyone–from wedding chapels to art museums, shows and shopping, golfing and gambling. By doing some research for Las Vegas packages, Las Vegas travel deals or Las Vegas coupons, you can make that Las Vegas vacation extremely affordable. So the secret to a “winning” Las Vegas getaway is: plan in advance, stick to your budget and never double down when the dealer has a ten or an ace!

First time in Las Vegas? Vegas is the entertainment capital of the world – there’s no other place like it. But if you’ve never been there before, you could end up missing the best Vegas has to offer or worse – spending more money than you’d planned.

If you’re booking your first Las Vegas vacation, the following tips will save you time, money and frustration.

Vacation Tip #1: Book Your Vegas Package Early

Try to make your reservations and ticket purchases at least 21 days before your trip. Some fares require an advance purchase of 3, 7, 14, or 21 days, while others may require no advance purchase at all.

Also, many Las Vegas hotels give you a discount incentive for booking your vacation early. As more people book the hotel rooms, there are less spots available and prices can rise.

Vacation Tip #2: Bring High Quality Running Shoes

If you’re going to be exploring the gorgeous hotels and various attractions on the Las Vegas strip – make sure you take high quality, well-fitting running shoes. Most of the surfaces you’ll be walking on are either concrete or stone.

While it’s lovely to stroll along the cobblestone streets of the Venetian or the Paris hotels – if you’re in shoes that don’t give you adequate cushioning you’ll be in pain by the end of the day. And after 3 days, forget about it.

Vacation Tip #3: If It’s Your First Time In Vegas Try To Stay On Or Near The Las Vegas Strip

The Las Vegas strip is the best place to be – especially if it’s your first time in Las Vegas. Enjoy the fountains of the Bellagio, see the lion habitat at the MGM Grande, watch the pirate show at the Treasure Island, view the white tigers at the Mirage.

When you’re on the Las Vegas strip most of the attractions and hotels are within walking distance so you don’t need to rent a car. Staying at one of the hotels on the strip will ensure you see most of the main attractions in Vegas.

Some hotels on the Las Vegas strip are the Bellagio, MGM Grande, Mirage, Ceasar’s Palace, Aladdin, Circus Circus, Treasure Island, Imperial Palace, Flamingo, New York New York, Bally’s and the Paris Hotel.

Vacation Tip #4: Be Prepared To Eat

Las Vegas offers some of the BEST buffets and restaurants in the world. Two of the most popular buffets in Las Vegas are the Buffet at the Bellagio and the Spice Market Buffet at the Aladdin. They are a must try!

The buffets offer a huge selection (so everyone in the family is happy)at mid-priced rates (depending on where you go). The food quality is extremely high so forego your diet and enjoy! After all, you’re on vacation.

Vacation Tip #5: You Don’t Have To Spend A Bundle On Entertainment

While some of the shows in Las Vegas can be expensive, there are lots of things to do (especially with your family) that are low cost or absolutely free. Some freebies include:

Lion habitat at the MGM Grande

White tigers at the Mirage

Fountain display in front of the Bellagio

M&M’s Store near New York, New York hotel (free M&M’s movie)

Pirate Show at Treasure Island

Rain Storm at the Dessert Passage next to the Aladdin

Circus Acts at Circus Circus

Human Statues at the Venetian

Various specialty displays and gardens inside different hotels – depending on the time of year

And they’re always adding more!

So those are 5 general tips for Vegas first-time vacationers. The can save you time, money and frustration (and hopefully sore feet). There’s no other place like Las Vegas – it’s like a giant playground for adults and kids. Regardless of what you choose to do, you’ll never forget your first time in Vegas!

The idea of being able to have more than four people on a trip begins to sound complicating. Deciding from booking hotel accommodations of more than one room, to shopping for an accommodating car rental size. Think , no more having to get two rooms for a family or group of six. It may be best to rent a condo while on vacation. Many places also provide some sort of Internet access whether it be wireless for your laptop or a provided computer system. Babysitting and/or maid service can be provided as well. High demand areas for vacation condos are Hawaii, the California coast, Palm Springs Winter, the Florida coast and Orlando, the Caribbean, Cancun, Cabo San Lucas, Myrtle Beach, and Hilton Head Island. Imagine a luxury beach condo in anyone of these areas, and how much more memorable a vacation would be than staying in a hotel. Staying in a vacation condo is how to take the quality of a vacation to the ultimate level.

A friend of mine, named Dom grew up in Hawaii. He would say, “Hawaiian Christmas memories are among my favorite remembrances of living in Hawaii.” He talked about hearing “Silent Night” sung in English and Hawaiian by an angelic choir on a humid evening under the topical night stars with palm trees swaying. Holidays in Hawaii, especially Christmas are widely celebrated. Imagine taking a family to a tropical paradise and during Christmas. Staying in a hotel can not compare to staying in a vacation condo during a tropical family holiday. Staying in a condo that comfortably houses a family allows anyone to have similar experiences like a local would. Memories that would be as positively vivid as my friend Dom’s memories are.

Here are five things to consider when looking for a vacation condo:

1. Pay particular attention to their cancellation and refund policies in the event of any change in circumstances affecting any members of your party who are due to travel.
2. Remember to pay any monies due (i.e. deposit/final balance) on time since failure to do so may result in losing your dates.
3. Make sure to plan far ahead if you want to make your reservations during a holiday, especially Easter and Christmas.
4. Learn the area, so you know where you want to stay. Also, itinerary’s easily fly out of the window once you get to your destination. Know the local area so you have the ability to be spontaneous.
5. Renting from an owner can generally be more of a positive experience. There happens to be rapport built and typically the owner has stayed in the area. Obviously a local resource like that can offer plenty of advice to help get off the beaten path.

Be selective, and go for luxury. A vacation is never going to be the same if you ever stay in a hotel again. You know what they say, “Once you go vacation condo you never go Hilton Resort.”

The last time I was in Mexico, so was everyone else, or so it seemed. But it is possible to travel to Mexico and enjoy a white sandy beach and some peace and quiet at the same time. All you need to know is where (and, in some cases, when) to go.

When to Go

November to April is widely regarded as the best time to visit. The summer months can get pretty hot. September and October is the peak of hurricane season, which actually stretches from November to June.

Keep in mind that the month of March tends to be very busy on the Mexico beaches with high school and college students on Spring Break. If it is a quiet vacation you want, you will also want to avoid the time around Christmas and Easter, as well as July and August.

Where to Go

There is a lot more to Mexico, and the Yucatan peninsula, than the city of Cancun.

Here are five favorite destinations that offer memorable Mexico vacations. Each of these spots can be reached by flying into Cancun. So if you would like to get a taste of the big city resort and then set out on the less traveled path, you will have the best of both worlds.

1. Isla Mujeres. Just 8 miles across the bay from Cancun, Isla Mujeres is a peaceful fishing village with restaurants, shops, and small, charming hotels. In fact, the whole island is cozy: The island itself is less than one mile wide and about five miles long. Downtown Isla Mujeres stretches only about six blocks. The signature turquoise waters and white sandy beaches make for great snorkeling and scuba diving. You can rent kayaks, snorkeling equipment and other gear right on the beach. Other activities to enjoy during your stay at Isla Mujeres include fishing, sailing, and swimming with the dolphins.

2. Riviera Maya stretches down the peninsula from Cancun to Tulum. Here, you will find white sandy beaches and water sports of all kinds, including scuba diving along the Great Maya coral reef, the second largest barrier reef system on the globe. Divers, and snorkelers may be rewarded with the sight of water life ranging from sea anemones, sponges and sea cucumbers to starfish and sea urchins, as well as underwater caverns. Sport fishing is a big business in Riviera Maya, as well. Other activities include golfing, spa going, and eco touring at the various ecological reserves in the region. Two highlights: the Xcaret EcoPark and the Sian Kaan bioshphere.

3. Playa del Carmen. About 40 minutes by car down the coast from Cancun, Playa del Carmen is growing into a bustling resort along Riviera Maya. If you like to shop, you will love Playa del Carmen. Boutiques in the town offer everything from cutting edge European fashions to crafts from local artisans.

During your stay, do not miss Quinto Avenida (Fifth Avenue). It is the heart of Playa. There are no cars, you can stroll the Avenue and be entertained by street performers, including artists and musicians. Playa del Carmen also features premiere dining, as the majority of the restaurants in the Riviera Maya are here, and quite a few of them are on Fifth Avenue itself. The bars and nightclubs are hopping on into the evening, so bring your dancing shoes.

4. XelHa. XelHa is an archeological site and eco park, located between Playa Del Carmen and Tulum. This destination offers adventures for all ages and mesmerizing ecological sights, as well as water sports, such as diving and snorkeling. You can swim with the dolphins here, as well. XelHa is particularly friendly for families and is bound to be an education in both Mayan history and ecology for the entire family.

5. Tulum. Drive a bit further south down the Mayan coast and you will find the small town of Tulum. Tulum is perhaps best known for its Mayan ruins, high on the limestone cliffs. These cliffs offer scenery you will not soon forget of the Caribbean alongside a picture perfect coastline. Tulum is the starting place for eco tourism and adventure travel, so make sure to look into nearby day trips and local attractions.

For an ideal and well rounded vacation, try a few days exploring the gradeur of Riviera Maya, then take some time to shop and play in the bustling Playa Del Carmen and another day or two visiting the Mayan ruins, and taking in the sites, of Tulum.

The word is out about these magnificent resorts, so you will not be able to avoid the crowds completely, but by striking out and having fun off the beaten path, you will find a good balance, and learn a lot about ecology and ancient Mayan culture.

Are you planning for a Las Vegas vacation? You should be very well prepared before taking a flight in one of the busiest places in Nevada.

You might end up short on your budget or with no hotels to check in if you did not call for reservations. You should also have enough money to savor everything you want to experience in the city.

There are many places to visit and things to do in Las Vegas. The city itself and the surrounding areas are attractions already. You may walk on the strip and savor the wonders of its casinos and luxurious hotels.

Leisure and business activities are non stop in this busy city. At night, you may have the option of watching shows and have fun gambling on its famous casinos. When you want a vacation full of entertainment and fun, then this is the perfect destination.

Generally, the main attractions of the city are its hotels and casinos. The most popular hotels are the MGM Grand, The Ritz Carlton, Stratosphere Casino Hotel and Tower, The Mirage and the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel.

Other popular sight attractions in Las Vegas are the hotels and casinos’ free shows like the Bellagio’s water fountain ballet, masquerade show at the Rio, and the Mirage’s volcano white tiger exhibit. Aside from its hotels and casinos, the museums are also places worth visiting.

However, you should prepare well before making the trip to Las Vegas especially if it is your first time. Here are some Las Vegas vacation tips that will help you to experience the best Las Vegas vacation.

1.Look and book for hotel reservations ahead preferably 2 to 3 weeks before taking the flight. It is also recommended that you purchase tickets early. You will find flights that require advance purchase of tickets, in this way you can avoid long piles of lines in the airport for ticket buys.

2.If it is your first time in the city, make sure that you stay near the strip. The strip is the best place for you to enjoy. You will savor the beauty of Vegas attractions such as the white tigers at the mirage, fountains of the Bellagio, pirates show at the Treasure Island and the lions’ den of the Mirage.

3.Most of the hotels and casinos are just a few steps away. You may not need to rent a car. Staying a hotel at the center of the city would be a perfect choice to stay in.

4.Exclusive shows in the hotels and casinos may really cost expensive. You may save money by going to free shows which are also main attractions in Las Vegas. You may watch free circus acts at the Circus Circus. Visit the human statue Venetian, watch the Pirate Show at the Treasure Island, see the M&M store at New York Street and enjoy the fountain exhibition at the front of the Bellagio.

When visiting Las Vegas, remember these tips on what you can do in the city especially if you do not have enough budget to enjoy expensive entertainment. It is up to you on how to have a great time in Las Vegas. For sure, you will never forget your first Las Vegas experience.

Combine glitzy Vegas-style resorts, turquoise waters, spectacular marine life and ancient Mayan ruins, what do you have? A Cancun vacation! Enjoy this weeks International Travel Tips as a teaser for perhaps your next vacation.

With Cancun’s varied offerings, visitors of all interests are bound to find a perfect spot in this tropical paradise. The vibrant excitement that pulsates all throughout Cancun makes it difficult to imagine miles of dunes, mangroves and jungles that Cancun was four decades ago.

Intentionally built to become a tourist hub, Cancun was transformed from an uninhabitable wasteland to a world-class holiday destination. Dunes and marshes are now replaced by miles of golf courses, theme parks and luxury hotels.

Before heading off to the nearest Cancun attraction, pass by the mangrove jungles of Cancun first to imagine how the island was like forty years ago. You can take a boat tour, ride a canoe or horseback your way through the mangrove jungles.

Explore the fantastic array of corals and tropical fishes while you’re at it. After you have freshened up, proceed to La Torre for a bird’s eye view of the island. La Torre is a rotating tower located at the entertainment complex of El Embarcadero at Paseo Kukulkan, to see the dramatic progress of the island in less than half a century.

Beachcombing and sunbathing is ideal in beautiful Isla Mujeres where its turquoise blue waters are also warm and inviting. Although literally translated as Island of Women, it is open for all to enjoy. Located a short 11 kilometers off the shores of Cancun, you can just lay back on the pristine white sand of Isla Mujeres and enjoy a good book while you soak in the sun and work on your tan.

For an exciting water adventure, visit Parque Nizuc, a marine theme park with pools upon pools of wild water slides and rides. Tired of the modern amenities of the Cancun strip? Take an hour drive to the southern Cancun and explore the ruins of the ancient Mayan civilization in Tulum. Nearby is a secluded beach where you can take a breather after an exhausting stroll around the ruins.

For nature lovers, a visit to the ecological parks of Xcaret and Xel-ha is highly recommended. Keep yourself cool under the shades of its verdant flora while you watch butterflies and birds frolic around its impressive aviary. If you feel a little more daring, you can explore the underground rivers or you can feed the sharks in gigantic tanks with their favorite snacks.

Take a short ferry ride from Cancun to the busy town of Playa del Carmen and test your haggling skills in its many market stalls. Nearby is Cozumel where the amazing splendid coral formations and countless schools of colorful fishes abound.

This just goes to show that a trip to Cancun can be a laidback sunbathing experience on the shore, a luxurious pampering in a hotel, an awe-inspiring visit to ancient ruins or an adrenalin pumping exploration of the wilds. It all depends on how you like it to experience your Cancun vacation.

ld be one exciting and a trembling feeling. People might think about various myths and misconceptions. These false beliefs might turn fun as one horrible thing to do. As a piece of advice, it’s very much vital for clearing most uncertainties and also the worries before cruising. It’s important for a cruiser to get the cruise’s basic goals.

Carnival cruises are safe, so if you are thinking about the” king of the world” film, do not worry, such innovations were made in the past 8 decades.

After selecting a Carnival cruise vacation spot, the next thing for doing is to get options for amenities. Before that, departures must also be seen. It’s a very good idea to check all the reservation procedure first.

Here are very basics steps for making one Carnival cruise very much enjoyable.

• The first thing for doing is booking the cruise schedule. These details should be printed very clearly, like the departure date, port place, time, duration of cruise, and the members.

• Another very important consideration will be the vacation starting day. Is it correct for you? Will it give the best choices for having one great vacation for you? Is it peak season or off-season?

• For avoiding hassles, enter the terminal’s building in the good decorum and procedure. Then, proceed for the x-ray machine, metal detector etc. Let a security officer check our luggage. Then the security officer would release one clearance certificate. By performing this activity, the port management would not inspect your luggage anymore.

• Be ready in advance for the very important documents chosen for cruising. These documents must be filled, before itself by some important information. Also prepare a “shipboard id card”. This card would be very much important. It would serve as a passport inside our cruise.

•arrival time on the cruise is a very important aspect as well. The earlier is the arrival time, the better it would be. Make sure for keeping it properly about the number and letter given by some port authority. Ask for the designated rooms for the accommodations.

• Always check the insurance while boarding. Remember that it’s the very best key for protecting yourself.

• If the ship is set, check all the rooms and also other facilities. The rooms should be very much clean, maintained and should have a good atmosphere. Look out for one comfortable room, which would, fit you.

• Analyse the fine print. Make sure to understand those things which are possible. Check out the carnival cruise’s price. Never neglect the port charges other taxes.

After seeing all these things, the very next thing for doing is to enjoy our trip. Many carnival cruise lines would offer great collection of these cruise line drinks.
