Hyatt Regency Pittsburgh International Airport

Oh my, my journey to the Hyatt Regency started with a phone call from an old friend from high school. He was attending a Patent Show in Pittsburgh and knowing that I only lived a couple hours away (West Virginia) asked if I would like to meet him there. Yes I did. We keep in touch over the phone but haven’t seen each other since high school.

As I drove up to the Hyatt I whistled at eleven stories it is an impressive hotel. I called my friend to let him know I arrived, he could see me from his room, we waved and he said he would meet me downstairs. I entered the Hyatt and I could see my friend rounding the corner ahead of me.

I was chasing him around the hotel lobby when we finally caught up with each other; we couldn’t help but laugh, what a nice way to break the ice after so many years. We talked for awhile, got reacquainted then went to dinner at the “Olive Press” in the hotel’s dining room. Dinner was fabulous if you don’t get the opportunity to go to a fine dining establishment often the service will make you feel like royalty.

I ordered a linguine dish that was cooked to perfection. I know when I cook wheat pasta it doesn’t taste that good. Dinner was topped off by a rich tasting chocolate strawberry yummy dessert that we shared. My room was equally as beautiful as my friends the furniture was dark stained contemporary, I liked the style so much when I bought new tables for my apartment the look was similar.

Being a woman bathrooms are very important, it was bigger than my kitchen and clean, clean, clean.Believe me I know bathrooms, after going in nearly every hotel in Las Vegas. You could say that bathrooms are my pet peeve. The bed was so comfortable with plenty of pillows (I sleep inclined) it literally was the best night sleep I’ve had in a long time. An equally attractive table and chairs near the window gave me quite a view.

The next morning I soaked in my roomy bathtub for about 45 minutes, (with plenty of hot water) then left for the Patent Show, which was very enlightening to say the least, people have some unique ideas for new products. We ate some great Mexican food for lunch. All and all my first trip to Pittsburgh was fantastic.

I highly recommend a stay at the Hyatt Regency Pittsburgh International Airport it’s a hop, skip and a jump from downtown Pittsburgh.
