Bristol Motor Speedway Sharpie 500

On August 25, 2007 I’m attending my first official NASCAR race, I can hardly wait! I along with thousands of race fans will descend upon Tennessee in a race to get to the race. I’m going to sleep in a tent (been about 15 years) but thank goodness there’s going to be a port a potty!!

I almost changed my mind about going to the Sharpie 500 knowing that I might have to use the woods and sleep in a tent, but I threw caution to the wind and decided it couldn’t hurt to rough it for one night. So I searched around and found a nice family with a yard to camp out with. More about that when I return.

All my friends who’ve been to a Nextel Cup race said I’ll have a great time. Of course that means I need a list of stuff to bring this is what I have so far…

Flashlight
Toilet paper
Ice chest
Sheets/pillows/air mattress
Ear plugs
Water
Fruit
Camera
Better not forget the tent!

I’m sure there is more to remember…

So next Saturday I’ll leave around noon, stop somewhere nice to eat, slide into my parking spot, pitch my tent, and walk over to the track to enjoy a new experience.

The best part about going to Bristol is it’s all tax deductible, since I’m a travel agent that’s what I do, get paid to travel. I even bought the race tickets from my own website – Trip Savvy Travel

I’m looking forward to meeting the couple I’m staying with they have an awesome idea for fan towels that is just getting started. Get ready for pictures and a full report when I return.

If you would like to know how I purchased NASCAR tickets from myself, then go to
Do You Get Paid to Travel for more information. I’d love to travel the world with you.
